"One of the best places I have ever visited in Korba is located along the route between Satrenga and the village known as Ajgarbahar. After traveling approximately 400 meters past the village, there is a river and a bridge, marking the beginning of the Rani Jharna trek. After walking continuously for about 2 hours, we finally reached the spot. It was a very peaceful place, nestled within dense, dark forests, and the water of the waterfall was exceptionally clear."

To reach this place, one has to cover a distance of about 25 kilometers The fort of Chaiturgarh was built during the reign of King Prithviraj Chauhan and is known for its strong natural defenses, much like the fort of Lafagadh. The Chaiturgarh fort has three entrances known as Menka, Humkara, and Simhadwara. Within the hills, you'll find the renowned Mata Mahishasur Mardini temple, which houses a twelve-handed idol of Goddess. Exploring these hills is a unique experience, and they are known for their natural beauty and cultural significance in Chhattisgarh.

The dam is located quite a distance from our lodging in Jamnipali, so we opted to rent a car for our journey there. The route to the dam is well-maintained road. However, it's advisable to plan a visit during the winter season for the most enjoyable experience also in moonsone. This place makes for an excellent picnic spot, and you can also enjoy boating activities here.
